First time in this restaurant. All I can says is that it was magnificent. The food super delicious and fresh. The service was great and the atmosphere was super nice. The owner was super friendly and came to talked to us for a bit, and made us feel very special. The whole experience was amazing. Definitely going back. Don't miss it !!!
If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I took a drive out for a Saturday adventure and ended up nearing Port Rowan, we searched for places near-by for a bite to eat and Chefs Stan's Saloon stood out immediately on our search.. I am beyond glad this was our choice. The food was so good we ate more than we should have, the service was great and we felt so welcome.. we wish we were much closer so we could eat here more, but we will definitely be back!!
Stopped in today for the BIG Eclipse, dining room was booked with reservations so we ordered to go. Staff were supper friendly especially the young man who helped us out and took our order. We had the Big Pickle Crunch Chicken burgers and WOW was it delicious!! What a great welcoming little town, we will be back!!
Food was really delicious, excellent service. Spin dip was the best. Small town with good vibes.
Tonight my family and I went out to Chef Stan's in Port Rowan for dinner. After seeing some of his new menu items. My wife and I wanted to go out there and see Chef Stan and try some of his new menu items. Special thank you to the staff for making us feel like we were guests in your home and not a restaurant. My kids Loved all the cheese pulls they got from their poutines and the mozzarella stick pieces I cut up for everyone to try. We started with the Giant Mozzarella stick. This is now in my top 2 favourite mozzarella sticks of all time. The presentation alone on this appetizer sets the bar for what to expect from The Saloon. The mozzarella stick was cooked perfectly all the way through. If I had cracked it in half and ate it alone the cheese pull alone is worth it to order. The salami, pickle, grapes and tomato were a great complement to the dish. Now the crostini served with this. WOW... it deserves a special mention. These were the best crostini's I have ever had. Perfectly toasted finished with a nice garlic butter. If I could get a whole order of these for the table I would fill up on bread before order food lol. The Capri Salad - my wife ordered this. So I had to try it. Appanrelty I have been missing out. This was a winner. The mix of fresh and lightly grilled tomatoes with the fresh mozzarella and the drizzle of balsamic vinegar was unreal. Also served with a side of the crostini's I am in love with. The Rubenator Burger - This is the third Burger I have now tried from The Saloon. This one topped with Montreal smoked meat, sauerkraut(which I normally do not like. but I wanted to take a risk and try it). Melted Swiss on a brioche bun. I honestly ordered this burger to test myself to see if I could get past an ingredient I personally do not like. Not only was his use of balance of flavours textures and portions surpass what I have come to expect form Chef Stan. But this is the first time I have ever enjoyed a dish with souerkraut on it. I tip my hat to you good sir. Wings - If you want a consistent wing that's naked or can come dusted with a crispy skin and enough variety of sauces that you won't get overwhelmed with a million options. Chef Stan also does wings right. The perfectly crispy outside with the moist properly cooked inside. This is a a place to stop and enjoy wings as well. He also has a wing night every Thursday. We have come to love this place so much we even order their nachos for work. The nachos stay crispy for hours after ordering.
Great location, recommended stopping in and trying one of the burgers here. The team was quick and friendly. Helpful when asking about menu items. Classic fishing town vibe with some old items and historic photos around the restaurant. The family dining table looks great for chefs table events.
we had such a nice afternoon here!! the food was amazing, great service, and it’s a fun vibe!! they have local beers/crafts and fun drinks! i think this will be a yearly destination for me!
Great local spot for burgers, sandwiches and more. The flavour combinations are well thought out and a success. Will definitely come back and try the poutine. The fries are just perfect for that!
